Update to documentation (strongly suggested). Download and save these files to your desktop or other folder, open and extract into your Rzhev '42 folder. The patch will default to copy the new files into C: HPS Simulations Rzhev.

Will I be able to get rid of them? Will I be able to switch off hexes as you can now and not see those things? I doubt it, because you’ve gone and filled in the centres light so that even with hexes off all you see is hexes. It looks about as far from a natural map as you can get. I don’t think I’m alone. Many like hexes, many hate them. The old series at least let you switch them on and off as needed, so it was each to his own.

We would like as many people as possible to try their hand at writing AI scripts for the JTS/HPS pre-WWI games. To encourage this, JTS (or HPS) will award one of their downloadable titles (on a lottery basis) to one new AI script for a historical scenario turned in from now until the end of July 2013. The game will be awarded based on the Dow Jones numbers for August 1, 2013, (using the last numbers as a random number calculator). To encourage the use of the random script feature in the software, a scenario that offers 5 different scripts for the AI to chose from, will count as 5 scripts turned in. Send your new scenario (remember it must be historic, not a what-if) to me at gcbisset@gmail.com to be checked and numbered for the drawing. We especially encourage scenarios that add AI to previous historic scenarios that were released without AI scripts, or that perhaps did not have a very interesting script.

Apologies for the delay. There isn't a turn result overview, but rather an ongoing overview: It's under 'Info' on the menu -> then 'Victory' which gives you the accumulated losses for men, guns, vehicles, naval, and air, plus what the current victory level is, and how many points for vp hexes have been accumulated. There is a dialog box at the start of a turn that will tell you various things, like fortifications created, rubble cleared, disruptions removed, mines cleared, reinforcements received, things like that. If you don't have it yet, there is a small free demo that you can get for free (it is a smaller game with a limited amount of scenarios), but it is fully functioning in the sense that all of the editors work, and the full set of manuals are included. I have it on the site at: or they also have it available on the JTS site directly (they are also working on a Napoleonic Battles series demo as well -so eventually I think there will be more available other than just this one.). Question to the sheer internetz: Has anyone ever considered porting one of the Panzer Campaign games to a mobile platform?
